During the difficult period of unemployment over the past six months, I experienced many unexpected setbacks and felt lost and helpless. For me, that time felt like being lost in a wilderness, unable to see the way forward. However, it was in this dark time that I met a special girl who is a devout Christian with a deep understanding and love for the Bible.
She didn't directly offer me material help, but instead, by sharing vivid stories of Bible characters, she illuminated the confusion in my heart like guiding lights. I heard her speak of Abraham's unwavering faith, which never wavered even in the face of the most difficult trials; I heard her speak of David's courage and humility, who could bravely face God and repent even after making mistakes; I heard her speak of Jesus' love and sacrifice, whose selfless love touched the hearts of countless people.
These stories of Bible characters, like lights of wisdom shining through time, gave me great encouragement and strength. I saw the hope of persevering in adversity, felt the kindness and love in the world, and my courage to face difficulties was rekindled. I began to understand that even in the lowest points, we can draw strength from these ancient stories and find direction for the future.
